Our technologists developed a new method for making chew products using our unique Silk Sugar.
This non-cook approach gives customers an easy entry into the chew market; the
low temperatures involved in making Silk Sugar chews gives added protection to active and functional ingredients. Conventional chew manufacture involves traditional confectionery kit and temperatures of up to 140˚C.
Silk Sugar chew manufacture requires only a warmed Z arm kneader to blend the ingredients, and its
greater flexibility allows for more creative approaches – for instance, water can easily be
replaced with fruit juice to give a high fruit juice chew.
